When the developers of Bayonetta collide with Nickelodeon, you get..

Absolute catastrophe. Sizeable levels of anticipation.

A level of love and care generally unreserved for licensed games…ESPECIALLY ones based on Nickelodeon shows. Published by Activision, developed by Platinum Games (Of Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising fame) , a new action game based on The Legend of Korra is on its way as a digital download title. Hitting just about everything except the Wii U, the game will be available on Xbox One, 360, PS3, PS4, and PC this fall, and set between Books (seasons) two and three of the ongoing series. Could this be more of a match made in heaven?

Seeing as she’s showing off a bevy of moves, bending all four elements as she fights off a horde of enemies, the high flying, yet brief trailer seems as if its hinting at a freeform combat system with the ability to switch between elements at will, ala Bayonetta‘s weapon switching during combat. To be a little more than excited at the idea of what Platinum can do with such a well rounded character is an understatement on a gameplay level, and the fact that the writers from the show will be penning the story is another round of good news that indicates that this won’t be a simple cash grab from a publisher all too well known for them. Their money, plus Platinum’s proven experience in the genre spells nothing but excitement, and a strong doubt that this could fail on any level.

Better still, heading down to their Facebook page right about now will allow you to vote for what will eventually be the cover for this (digital only) release! Our money’s on the second one. Even though the first is pretty strong, and the third is a bit devoid of purpose, or looks confused, our fav has her using powers in tandem, just showing off what she’s capable of without looking like the art itself is trying too hard.

What are InfernalPenguins?

InfernalPenguins are resilient beings who waddle through life with a sense of wonder and unshakable humor, despite their chthonic beginnings.

They are frequently found obsessively pouring through the latest in games, tv, film and culture with a glee only possessed by children and flightless birds. This is where they share their journey through this strange world.
